Bricks Bots & Beakers (B3) is an exciting education company that creates meaningful opportunities for children to experience a full range of STEM classes, camps, parties and workshops. The B3 Preschool Program uses a unique rotating curriculum with 3 different focus areas: BRICKS – LEGO Engineering, BOTS – age appropriate robotics and programming and BEAKERS – science activities. B3 Preschool Teachers teach a Bricks unit one month, a Bots unit the next month and a Beakers unit the third month and then the cycle of Bricks, Bots & Beakers repeats.

As a B3 teacher you will teach STEM skills and concepts to children ages 3-6 at local preschools and at Bricks Bots & Beakers. At Preschool locations, you teach half hour sessions to small groups of 4 to 7 children. Ideally, you will teach 2 to 3 sessions per school. You don’t have to know science and robotics to teach our classes! But you do need a love of teaching and learning! We will provide all the curriculum, materials and training you need.

This is a great position for education students, retired teachers, stay at home parents or teachers taking a break from the classroom.

Job Responsibilities:

•        Collecting any payments left at the center

•        Recording attendance & distributing class summaries every week

•        Implementing B3 curriculum and following lesson plans

•        Submitting a weekly report to our office along with all monies collected

An Ideal Candidate:

•        Has experience working with children ages 3 – 6

•        Has reliable transportation, a driver’s license and car insurance

•        Lives locally (see areas seeking locations below)

•        Has strong time management and organization skills

•        Enjoys STEAM concepts

•        Must be able to pass a fingerprint criminal background check

•        Can teach a flexible weekday schedule (averaging 6 – 12 hours per week)

•        Most classes happen between 9 am – 12 and/or 2 pm – 5 pm.

•        Can commit for the remainder of the school year

Education

•        Prefer Minimum of Associates degree in Childhood Development or similar background. Will consider applicants with classroom / daycare experience or those pursuing a child development or education degree

This can lead to other opportunities such as birthday parties, summer camps, holiday camps, afterschool classes, etc.

Vehicle needed for this position.

Hourly Rate: $18 - $22 per hour, depending on experience and number of children taught.
