Job Description:

Position Summary: Operate the Palletizer and Strapper equipment while performing quality checks of the finished goods to produce highest quality cans at the lowest possible costs.

Essential Functions:

  • Operate Palletizer and Strapper equipment.
  • Perform visual check of finished goods.
  • Remove, damaged and/or suspect finished goods from palletizer and report same to Supervision, Production Line Operator and Quality Inspector.
  • Utilize proper packaging materials (Chipboard, top frames and pallets)
  • Verify and place proper pallet tags on finished goods.
  • Keeps equipment and all areas safe, clean, and organized through proper housekeeping
  • Follow all required environmental, health and safety procedures
  • Performs other related duties as required
  • Must have the ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds on occasion and regularly stand, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • 6 months of experience in a manufacturing setting (high-speed manufacturing is preferred).
  • Exhibit safety and quality as their top priorities
  • Effective record keeping skills and the ability to focus on details.
  • Proven ability to effectively manage multiple projects/tasks at the same time.
  • Effective and proven communication skills (both written and verbal) working in a team environment.

Education:

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.
  • Must be able to stand continuously for more than 8+ hours per shift.
  • Must be able to walk, lift/carry up to 50 lbs on occasion.
  • Must be about to stand, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
  • Must be able to twist at the waist and bend repetitively.
  • This position may also require climbing or balancing.

Must be able to work up to twelve (12) hour shifts, both day and evening.
