Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations, utilizing both standardized assessments and observational methods.
• Design individualized treatment plans that target immediate goals while considering clients' long-term communication, cognitive, and swallowing needs.
• Deliver focused speech therapy sessions tailored to areas such as language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
• Engage collaboratively with physical therapists, occupational therapists, medical staff, caregivers, and families to develop comprehensive care strategies.
• Provide education for patients and families to support therapeutic gains beyond the clinical setting.
• Occasionally perform inpatient speech therapy assessments, ensuring a seamless continuum of care for every patient.
• Maintain thorough and timely documentation that complies with state, federal, and institutional guidelines.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in the field through professional development and collaboration with peers.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is required for those not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Preferably, a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of hiring.
