Job description

Job Summary

Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School is seeking an energetic, responsible, and caring Part‑Time Summer Camp Aide to support our summer programming for children in a warm, faith‑centered environment. The ideal candidate enjoys working with kids, communicates well with peers and supervisors, and contributes to a safe, fun, and engaging camp experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist lead counselors with daily camp activities, including arts and crafts, games, outdoor play, enrichment projects, and themed events.
  • Supervise campers to ensure safety, positive behavior, and respectful interactions.
  • Help set up, clean up, and organize program materials and activity spaces.
  • Accompany groups during transitions, field trips, and outdoor activities.
  • Support a welcoming, inclusive environment aligned with the school’s Catholic values.
  • Communicate any concerns regarding campers to the lead counselor or program director.
  • Model kindness, cooperation, and responsibility throughout the camp day.
Qualifications
  • Genuine enthusiasm for working with children in grades K–8.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to follow directions from camp leadership.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain a safe and structured environment.
  • Prior experience with children (babysitting, tutoring, coaching, volunteering, etc.) preferred but not required.
  • Must complete required background checks and Safe Environment Training.
Schedule & Compensation
  • Part‑time hours, typically between 15–25 hours per week, depending on enrollment and programming needs.
  • Camp runs weekdays during the summer months; specific scheduling will be coordinated with the program director.
  • Hourly pay commensurate with experience.
