Senior Graphic Designer

What could be more exciting than putting your mark on some of the world's most famous and well-loved fashion brands? As a graphic designer for Centric Brands, you'll use your skills and creativity to create designs based on style plans, sales needs and emerging trends. You will also ensure that your work can be transformed into a finished product in a timely manner and at an appropriate price point. This means working not only with our technical design and production teams, but also building collaborative relationships with outside vendors and other external stakeholders. Specific Responsibilities Would Include

The Senior Graphic Designer collaboratively manages the graphics component of the seasonal design development process by coordinating and executing the layout and providing input on the production of original, trend-appropriate graphics concepts for all design needs, including garments, logos, illustrations, tags and labels. As a Senior Graphic Designer in our Kids division working on Under Armour,, you will be at the forefront of creating dynamic and engaging graphics that resonate with athletes and fans alike. Collaborating closely with design, product development and production teams, you will work on the development of innovative designs for men's apparel and logos.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategy & Innovation

  • Research and identify graphics trend directions in collaboration with Design Director; manage development of themes and concepts with Graphic Artist(s); create presentation boards for meetings and mock-ups
  • Monitor new trends, techniques, treatments and resources in graphic design and production

 Operations & Results

  • Execute translation of brand(s), where applicable, into compelling graphic deliverables for garments, logos, illustrations, photographs, tags, labels; coordinate with Graphic Artist(s) creation of camera-ready art and color separations; collaborate with Designer(s) and Design Director to incorporate graphics into line
  • Provide expert knowledge on graphics aesthetics, processes, and treatments for design team, merchants and production; collaboratively manage reference library
  • Tech pack art for production

Customers & Relationships

  • Manage follow-up with internal partners in design and production; manage interoffice communication and relationships with vendors and manufacturers; manage existing relationships and develop relationships with new suppliers, vendors and business partners to monitor trends, leverage new resources and implement most current processes
  • Partner with the Law Department to ensure that graphics/designs do not infringe on intellectual property rights and register new rights where necessary

  • Contribute positively to team dynamic and manage up where necessary

  • Monitor and evaluate performance of individuals
Our Best Fit Candidate Would Have
  • Superior organizational skills and excellent communication skills; team oriented
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines; highly detail oriented, meticulous and creative
  • Creativity, technical capability and sensibility for graphics and fonts; strong ability to sketch
  • Extensive knowledge of traditional and web-based graphic production techniques, including color separations, camera-ready art, heat transfers, etc.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design or related field
  • 4 - 7 years experience in graphic design; significant relevant experience in category
  • Expert in Adobe products and Mac computers; highly proficient in Microsoft Office
  • PLM experience is a plus

Salary Range: $95,000 - $100,000

At Centric Brands, we believe our people are our greatest asset, and we seek to structure competitive compensation offers to ensure that we are able to attract and retain the best talent.  Our job postings include an annual base salary range at the time of employment.  The stated base salary range represents our good faith estimate as to what candidates are likely to expect, and we tailor our offers within the range based on several factors, including the selected candidate's educational and professional experience, industry knowledge, location, technical and communication skills, and other factors that may prove relevant during the selection process.  Base salary is a part of a total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, annual bonus and other Centric Brands sponsored benefit programs.
