Weโ€™re looking for people to join our dynamic, high-energy team to create breakthrough, happy dancing, high-fiving, โ€œI did itโ€ moments by teaching kids all about biking.

No experience necessary, paid training provided.


The Opportunity:

Weโ€™re looking for Bike and Trail Instructors for our Summer Camps. Hereโ€™s how this job plays a role:

  • As an instructor you will spend your days outside while inspiring the next generation of cyclists. Itโ€™s active, adventurous, fun, and incredibly rewarding.
  • You donโ€™t have to be a bike expert because we provide training for our programs for you to get going in your new role!โ€ฏ


WORK DATES & LOCATIONS:

  • West Linn: West Linn Lutheran Church, June 15 - July 17
  • Lake Oswego: Lake Bible Church, June 15 - September 4
  • University Park: The Well Church, June 15 - July 10
  • SW Portland: West Hills Covenant Church, June 8 - August 21

WAGE:

  • $17.20 /hour for first year staff

What youโ€™d be responsible for:

In addition to sharing your ideas on how we can grow, learn and build, in this role, youโ€™ll also be:

  • Teaching our daily Pedal heads camp programs for children ages 2-12 years
  • Actively introduce children new bike skills
  • Ensure the health and safety of children at camp
  • Act as a positive role model and leader at all times
  • Communicate regularly with parents about their childโ€™sโ€ฏprogressโ€ฏ

Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

Here are some of the skills / specifics that are important for this role:

  • You will be at least 16 years of age by the start of camp
  • Comfortable leading a group of up to 6 children (training provided)
  • Committed to keeping our campers safe
  • You are energetic, creative, motivated and fun
  • Hold or willing to get a current Standard First Aid with CPR-C certificate
  • Criminal record check required for ages 18+
  • You have access to a bike and helmet and can ride a bike proficiently
