Summary of Position

The Assistant, Theatrical Music will provide support to the Senior Vice President of the Theatrical Music Department. This position involves a mix of creative, administrative, and logical tasks. 

Responsibilities
  • Manage calendars, schedule meetings
  • Prepare meeting materials, take notes, track follow ups
  • Organize and maintain files, scripts, production documents, cue sheets, reels
  • Arrange travel & expense reports
  • Read scripts and breakdown for music
  • Curate and organize composer reels
  • Organize and catalog project budgets past & present
  • Assist in sourcing and researching songs, composers and artists for potential use in films
  • Organize and catalog music submissions and audio files for easy access
  • Support communication between music department and other departments both internally and externally
  • Send out project briefs and cataloging submitted music per project
Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Excellent organization and multitasking abilities
  • Strong written & verbal communication skills
  • Professionalism and discretion
  • Strong knowledge of music across genres and a good ear for matching tone and emotion
  • Strong interest and knowledge of social media as it relates to music trends, artists, songs
  • Familiarity with music licensing, copyright and publishing
  • Proficient in excel, Spotify & itunes, Box, Scenechronize
  • Experience reading & breaking down scripts for music
