A Full Time Film Script Reader is responsible for reading and evaluating screenplays submitted to production companies, studios, or agencies. They write coverage reports that summarize the story, assess its strengths and weaknesses, and provide recommendations on whether the script is worth pursuing. Script readers help decision-makers save time by identifying promising projects and weeding out unsuitable submissions. Their feedback is crucial in the early stages of film development.

To thrive as a Full Time Film Script Reader, you need strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of storytelling and screenplay structure, and typically a background in film, creative writing, or literature. Familiarity with industry-standard script coverage formats and software such as Final Draft or Celtx is important.
