How to get a job as a script reader?

To become a full-time film script reader, develop strong analytical and writing skills, gain experience by reading and evaluating scripts, and build industry knowledge of film genres and storytelling. Many script readers have backgrounds in film, screenwriting, or related fields, and some positions require familiarity with script analysis tools or software. Networking and applying to production companies, agencies, or script consulting firms can also help secure a position.

How much do script readers get paid?

Full-time film script readers typically earn between $30,000 and $60,000 annually, depending on experience, location, and the company. Entry-level readers may start at lower salaries, while experienced professionals or those working for major studios can earn higher wages and benefits.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Full Time Film Script Reader, and why are they important?
