POSITION SUMMARY
We are looking for team members who have an attention to detail and always looking to put a smile on peopleโ€™s faces. If you like to have fun and go above and beyond to exceed the guestโ€™s expectations then we want you. The Steamboat Grand Hotel is excited to add amazing individuals to work in its newly remodeled, state-of-the-art health club. Must have a flexible schedule and be able to work weekends and holidays. Working in the Health Club could give employee access to gym during off hours.
We are currently hiring for our night shift: 2:00 pm - 10:30 pm (hours may vary due to occupancy)
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
  • Promote a fun and relaxing atmosphere for owners and guests in all recreational activities and areas by expressing an upbeat, enthusiastic attitude, and thanks all with genuine appreciation.
  • Maintains the appearance and cleanliness of pool furniture, pool deck, and tables, throughout the day.
  • Clean and tidy the locker rooms and workout area
  • Bring issues such as equipment or fixtures in need of repair to the attention of the Supervisor or Manager
  • Watches weather patterns throughout the day, and carries out pool closures when necessary
  • Ensure towels are checked, stocked, and sent for cleaning during your shift.
  • Light laundry duties
  • Daily operational set up of pool area for opening and closing, inside and outside.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others.
  • Compliance with all company policies and procedures as well as any regulatory requirements
  • Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Previous guest service experience preferred
  • Adhere to all safety policies
  • Work independently, have a happy attitude
  • Basic computer equipment and keyboard usage preferred
  • Interact and maintain positive relationships with guests, co-workers, and management consistent with SSRCโ€™s Service Excellence standards

The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of the Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporationโ€™s hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporationโ€™s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include many region-specific benefits.
Steamboat Springs area base hourly pay range: Starting at $18.50 - $19.50 per hour
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Must be minimum 18 years of age
  • Lift up to 50 lbs. in order to move fitness equipment
  • Must stand for long periods of time and walk 1-2 miles/shift
  • Must fold towels (repetitive motion) and operate washers and dryers, after instructed
  • Clearly communicate (verbally and written) in English
