Job description

Kearney & Company is seeking students pursuing their BA/BS degree in Accounting, Information Systems, Accounting and Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology, and/or Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting for our Summer Internship Program. The Kearney & Company Summer Internship Program offers a dynamic experience which includes teamwork on federal client sites (depending on the assignment), the opportunity to contribute to and learn about the workplace, and the chance to build a larger professional network. Participation in Kearney's Internship Program also includes an Intern led company-wide community service project. Depending on the engagement, there are specific audits that may require travel throughout the United States and the DC metropolitan area.
Additional details about our Internship Program include:
  • Hybrid Internship Program: Interns local to Alexandria, VA can work from Kearney & Company HQ and their home. Interns living in other areas can work remotley and travel in to HQ during Kearney & Company in-person week
  • Highly competitive pay
  • Accounting, Audit, and/or IT Audit related work experience with federal government clients (depending on the assignment)
  • Week-long Intern Orientation process and training opportunities
  • 8 Week Program with a June start date.
  • Full Time Status, Monday-Friday 8:30-5:30 (paid for all hours worked)
  • Opportunities to participate in company-wide events and social activities with Kearney Team Members

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
  • Must currently be in Sophomore, Junior, or Senior pursuing a 5th year standing in an accredited college/university working towards a BA/BS degree in Accounting, Information Systems, Accounting and Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology, and/or Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an interim U.S. Secret security clearance (requires U.S. citizenship)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

The expected salary range for this position is between $18 and $28/hour. This range is representative of base pay only and does not include overtime pay for hours worked over 40 per week. Actual compensation (meeting or exceeding the range) will be determined based on specific experience, education, work location, clearance level, and other factors permitted by law.
