Looking to serve Jesus this summer, but not sure how? Join us at Ridgecrest! The Ridgecrest Summer Staff program is designed to give young adults hands-on experience in hospitality, leadership, and ministry support. We offer free housing, meals, and paid positions for our summer team. Summer Staff can expect to work hard, have fun, and grow in their relationship with Jesus!


The HR Summer Staff Assistant plays an important behind-the-scenes role in supporting the Human Resources team, Summer Staff leadership, and Volunteer program throughout the summer season. This position helps strengthen communication, organization, and daily operations across campus while creating a positive and encouraging experience for summer staff, volunteers, and guests.


This role provides administrative and logistical support that allows leadership teams to focus more intentionally on staff care, spiritual development, and program leadership. The HR Summer Staff Assistant will serve in a flexible support role that adapts to the changing needs of the summer season.


Responsibilities
  • Help manage and maintain inventory for Day Camp, Summer Staff, and volunteer events.
  • Assist with administrative duties such as mail distribution, calendar management, errands, filing, and general office support.
  • Maintain a visible and approachable hallway presence during weekends to support communication and staff needs.
  • Assist with scheduling and coordinating interviews, including interview setup and greeting candidates.
  • Support onboarding processes for Summer Staff and volunteers.
  • Create bi-weekly announcement and recap videos for chapel and Summer Staff communication.
  • Help manage group communication platforms and assist with weekend event announcements and updates.
  • Assist with room and common area inspection schedules and event preparation throughout the summer.
  • Co-referee team competitions and recreational events while supporting event flow, rules, and scoring.
  • Step into leadership support roles when needed, including helping with community groups, optional events, or on-call responsibilities.
  • Assist departments with projects or occasional shifts to help support Lead Coordinators and summer operations.
  • Support planning and execution of Summer Staff encouragement events, trainings, and leadership gatherings.
  • Assist with setup and teardown for Summer Staff and volunteer events.
  • Support volunteer operations through orientation setup, room preparation, onboarding assistance, and event coordination.
  • Assist with airport runs, supply runs, and other transportation needs as assigned.
  • Work alongside multiple departments across campus with a flexible and servant-hearted attitude.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirement


  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.

  • Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor environments during summer conditions.
  • Ability to assist with event setup, teardown, and room preparation.
