Job description

Tennis Summer Camp Counselor- Seasonal June 1 to July 24 9am-3pm -Mon-Fri

Tennis counselor, oversee fun game play, guide spontaneous activities and supervise children ages 4yrs-15yrs participating in the summer tennis camp program.

DUTIES

Tennis counselor implements daily schedule, instruct children on technique, oversee fun game play, guide spontaneous activities and supervise children ages 4yrs-15yrs participating in the summer tennis camp program.

Monitors student progress by constant evaluation of techniques, movements, and participation.

They are responsible for the personal care, safety and discipline of the children.

Tennis counselors must also maintain proper staff child ratios and know all emergency procedures.

Performs other duties and/or tasks as directed by your supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum of three months of experience teaching tennis to and supervising children ages 4yrs - 15yrs preferably in group activities.

Varsity high school tennis, club level tennis or varsity collegiate tennis experience.

CPR certification/First Aid.

High School diploma or some education relating to early educational development preferred, but not required.

Must be able and willing to take directions.

Problem solving ability, creative inclination, and innovative thinker.

Customer service oriented.

Good organizational skills.

Ability to be around children for multiple hours.

High levels of enthusiasm and energy.

Must possess excellent organizational skills and coordinate and complete tasks with limited supervision.
