Job Title: Summer Athletic Department Event Supervisor

Location: NorthWood High School Athletic Department


Position Type: Seasonal (Summer)


Compensation: Hourly Pay (Based on Facility Rental Supervision)

Job Summary:

The NorthWood High School Athletic Department is seeking a responsible and motivated individual to serve as a Summer Athletic Department Event Supervisor & Intern. This role will primarily focus on supervising facility rentals at the baseball/softball complex while also gaining professional development experience through scheduled office hours in the Athletic Office.

Key Responsibilities:

Facility Supervision & Event Management

· Oversee facility rentals at the baseball/softball complex, ensuring that events run smoothly, and all policies are followed.

· Serve as the on-site point of contact for teams, coaches, and event organizers.

· Monitor field conditions, equipment, and facilities, addressing any maintenance or safety concerns.

· Assist with basic field prep and post-event cleanup when necessary.

· Enforce facility guidelines and handle any issues that arise during rentals.

Athletic Office Support & Professional Development

· Work scheduled office hours in the NorthWood Athletic Office to gain experience in athletic administration.

· Assist with summer planning, scheduling, and preparation for the upcoming school year.

· Help with data entry, record keeping, and communication tasks as needed.

· Gain exposure to event management, marketing, and community engagement within high school athletics.

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Reliable, punctual, and professional in all interactions.
  • Experience in athletics, event management, or customer service is preferred but not required.

Work Schedule & Expectations:

  • Evening and weekend availability will be required for facility supervision.
  • Office hours will be scheduled based on availability and department needs.
