Essential Responsibilities

Financial Analysis & Underwriting

  • Underwrite potential acquisition and development opportunities, including cash flow modeling, property valuations, investment analyses, and joint venture structuring.
  • Prepare accurate and thorough work product to support the investment review process.
  • Assist in the preparation of deal memoranda for investment committee review.

Market Research

  • Perform thorough research of select markets using various databases to support underwriting assumptions and identify new investment opportunities.
  • Maintain proprietary market reports and an internal database of property sales and lease comparables for target markets on a monthly basis.

Due Diligence

  • Support transaction due diligence and closing processes for acquisitions and dispositions.
  • Respond to requests from the investment committee, brokers, lenders, and the buyer or seller.
  • Review all due diligence materials, including leases, operating statements, title, and survey, and present findings to senior management.

Asset Management

  • Support asset management functions through regular interaction with investment committee, property management, leasing, and accounting teams.
  • Conduct ongoing analyses to support decision-making related to the business plan of the investment (leasing, capital projects, financing, etc.).
  • Update valuations of existing assets on a quarterly basis to track investment performance.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of two years of experience with a CRE investment sales firm.
  • Proficiency in Argus and Excel.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, real estate, business, or a related field.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex information into concise insights.
  • Relentless attention to detail; able to produce accurate work with minimal supervision.
