Sumitomo is looking for a full time experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our team! 
Brief Description:
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our precision manufacturing team. IN this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing CNC machines and various other machinery.
 
Job Duties and Responsibilities include:         
  • Examine machines to diagnose issues, dismantle machines, replace defective parts, reassemble machines and make necessary adjustments to ensure efficient operation
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues on production equipment
  • Repair CNC machines and/or robotics
  • May occasionally make replacement parts
  • General preventative maintenance of machinery
  • May need to provide work training to less experienced maintenance staff
What skills and experience are needed: 
  • Ability to work under limited supervision with minimal technical guidance
  • Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors
  • Preventive industrial maintenance experience preferred, but not required
  • Candidates with previous experience with CNC grinding and/or machining equipment, a plus!
  • General knowledge and skill with basic hand tools
  • Ability to follow all safety protocols and ensure compliance with company and industry standard
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.+

 Work Environment:  Well-lit and clean machine shop with moderate noise.  Staff members will need to be able to work while standing, sitting, bending, and climbing.  Staff members will be occasionally lifting and working inside of machines.
