Description

Third Way Center is seeking a dynamic person to join our Treatment Management team in the Substance Abuse Coordinator role. Third Way Center is a 24/7 non-profit Residential Treatment Center that houses youth individuals aged 13-21 in QRTP, PRTF and RCCF inpatient settings. The Substance Abuse Coordinator is responsible for developing a comprehensive substance use treatment program within Third Way Center's five facilities. This includes direct practices related to:

  • Prevention/education
  • Intervention/treatment
  • Support services/relapse prevention for the residents, as well as consultation, training, and education related to substance abuse for the staff.

Ongoing responsibilities include substance use evaluations and the ability to develop treatment strategies and plans related to the individual family and/or group needs. This could include attending staff meetings with professionals when necessary. The Substance Use Treatment Coordinator is Third Way Center's liaison to additional community resources to enhance our clientele's ability to succeed. The Coordinator is responsible for the ongoing oversight and management of all toxicology services provided at Third Way Center, as well as availing oneself for the overall mission of treating abused and neglected adolescents, and their families. This position is designed to be an integral part of the overall treatment process at Third Way Center.

This position is responsible for developing, monitoring, and maintaining standards related to the Substance Abuse Treatment certification process with the Behavioral Health Administration.

This position is responsible for developing and maintaining the standards for the various ASAM program levels ranging from 0 - II.1, which includes ongoing assessments and coordination with treatment teams. This position is directly accountable to the treatment leaders of each TWC program, and is supervised by the Program Director/ or Senior staff with coordinating qualifications.

Qualifications

Qualifications: Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC) certification is required. Master's degree in related field is preferred with licensure (LCSW, LPC, or equivalent). 3 years' experience working in a related field is preferred.
