Cedar Creek Hospital invests in our patients by offering an integrated medicine approach that provides the latest therapies including yoga, mindfulness, aromatherapy, music therapy and nutrition. As part of our success and innovation in the field we are seeking qualified applicants for an Activity Therapist position.

Description
The Activity Therapist, CTRS or other Creative Arts Therapist (Dance and Movement, Art, Music, etc) is responsible for the provision of Recreational Therapy services, including assessment, treatment planning, therapeutic activity interventions and discharge leisure planning. This team utilizes individual and/or group activity interventions to bring about positive changes in the client's behavior, be-it cognitive, social, emotional or physical. They educates the patient in healthy coping skills, and available leisure resources to continue the client in post discharge leisure planning and involvement. They will be responsible for the provision of services according to the current standards of practice.
Hours
Hours for this role are day shift. We are looking for candidates that have at least one weekend that they could commit to a month

Requirements
  • CTRS Certification by National Certification Board (NCTRC) required or other Master's Level Creative Arts Therapist (Dance and Movement, Art, Music, etc) with appropriate board certification
  • Experience in a behavioral health hospital setting preferred
