Description

Bay Shore Steel Works (BSSW) is a subsidiary of Grand Traverse Economic Development (GTED), a fast-growing company with opportunities to learn and advance. We are seeking an energetic applicant who can meet and exceed the below goals. We are looking for someone who has the drive to succeed, and the desire to be part of a team.

For more than 40 years, Bay Shore Steel Works (BSSW) has worked as a trusted partner, providing high-quality fabrication, machining, and finishing services to a wide variety of customers in many industries. Including the most demanding customer in the world: the United States military. BSSW gives preference to Veterans, among others found below.

We are currently seeking a Shipping & Receiving Coordinator for our Charlevoix, MI location.

This position is non-exempt (hourly).
Full-time 

Wages commensurate with experience.

IN THIS POSITION, YOU WILL:

    Review demand using Syteline ERP System and ensure manufactured parts are packaged and delivered to the Customer Daily.
    Train on Packaging Standards for each customer part type and load.
    Train team members on proper packing and banding technique.
    Order and Maintain packaging materials.
    Manage Outside Supplier Process inventory movement via the BSSW Truck.
    Ensure parts for OSP are delivered to suppliers when ready to support internal build and delivery requirements.
    Keep a running log on those parts at OSP and the expected delivery date.
    Receive incoming materials and deliver to user department and/or tool crib.
    Organize Finished Goods and Parts in Process storage in the shipping receiving area.
    Manage cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
    Support and promote safe practices and environmental commitments in alignment with company commitments, policies and compliance requirements.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
    Associates degree preferred.
    Three years of experience with Syteline ERP System preferred.
    Three years Logistics/Shipping experience preferred.
    A valid drivers license (Required).
