Job description

Overview
A Shelf Mechanic is responsible for various mechanical maintenance and repairs on offshore facilities.
Responsibilities
  • Operate offshore production facility in accordance with customer requirements.
  • Test, calibrate, maintain, and inspect equipment.
  • Perform mandatory paperwork required by customer and government agencies.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot turbine compressors, generators, gas/diesel generators, compressors, and reciprocating equipment (pumps, compressors, etc.).
  • Utilize computer knowledge for maintenance tasks.
  • Familiarity with subsea equipment.
  • Maintain platform organization.
  • Exhibit excellent interpersonal communication skills in a team environment.
  • Safety-oriented with a focus on compliance.
  • Create policies and procedures for maintenance, testing, and inspections of offshore lifeboats.
  • Apply technical mechanical skills for maintenance tasks.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Willingness to work a 24/7 callout schedule.
  • 5+ years of mechanic experience, preferably offshore.
  • No housing available for the position, daily commute to work location required.
