Job description

Job Description BAE Systems is a leading provider of innovative C4ISR Systems, delivering actionable intelligence to our Customers, Warfighters and the US Government. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Subcontract Program Manager to play a key role in supporting the Golden Dome Program area, a highly sensitive and strategic program focused on the development of advanced space-based capabilities. You will be responsible for the end-to-end management of a portfolio of complex development subcontracts, driving performance and ensuring the successful delivery of cutting-edge satellite and payload capabilities. Reporting to the Space Systems Product Line Supply Chain Director, this is an individual contributor role, likely to grow to include leading and mentoring a team of Subcontract PMs over the program's lifecycle. This program is at the forefront of space domain awareness and offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a critical national security initiative. This role will reside within the Space Systems Product Line, and is contingent upon program award. The C4ISRS Business Area provides actionable intelligence for our warfighters and decision makers through innovative technical solutions across all domains, from the seas, to the skies, to the stars. We enable our warfighters to stay ahead of the threat, by delivering exquisite, cutting-edge capabilities to our Customers. Required Education, Experience, & Skills * Ability to travel approximately 25% of the time * Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 10 years work experience or equivalent experience * Experience in Subcontract Management, Project Management or Program Management * Strong demonstrated negotiation skills and strategies * Experience in new business capture to include proposals * Experience developing long-term strategies and tactical plans to achieve enterprise objectives. * Successful, proven record of leading and managing multi-discipline project teams * Ability to develop plans specifying goals, staffing, scheduling, identification of risks, contingency plans, and allocation of available resources * Experience with scope management and cost estimating, including estimate to complete/estimate at completion (ETC/EAC) processes. * Ability to communicate with senior management regarding subcontract performance status (cost / schedule / resources / risk) as well as performance to financial objectives * Experience communicating externally either with customers or suppliers Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills * A foundational understanding of satellite subsystems (power, propulsion, thermal control, communications, attitude control, structures) is essential. The SPM needs to understand what subcontractors are delivering and how it integrates. This isn't about doing the engineering, but about understanding the technical challenges, management of technical risk and ensuring program execution. * Satellite Payload Integration Experience * Previous experience in satellite programs and space-based acquisition environment * Strong Emotional Intelligence * Inquisitive, innovative thinker * Generosity of thought and knowledge. * Prior experience as a Program Manager * Experience leading cross-functional teams Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) * Program Management Institute's (PMI) Program Management Professional (PMP) certification * Demonstrated Risk Management experience * Experience with information systems such as Oracle * Knowledge of acquisition policies and procedures with associated knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFAR) * Significant experience managing the development and compliance of requirements (SOWs, specifications, contractual terms, etc.) * Strong organizational skills to handle many overlapping projects simultaneously * Willingness and desire for continuous improvement. * Earned Value Management and Lifecycle Management experience * Professional Supply Chain Certification: C.P.M., C.P.S.M., P.M.P. * Graduate degree in a related field, i.e.: JD, MBA, Master's Degree in Engineering and/or Business Administration * Control Account Management (CAM) experience (at minimum, CAM trained) Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $149603 - $254317 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
