Job Type Full Time Work Hours Normal School hours


POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

o Bachelor’s degree from accredited college or university.

o Two years exemplary teaching experience.

o Thorough knowledge of curriculum, district policies and procedures.

o Master’s degree from accredited college or university is preferred.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

o Assist with development and implementation of the master schedule and student schedules.

o Analyze and assess past school performance in order to plan for new programs.

o Assist with evaluation of instructional staff

o Implement and review data related to common assessments such as district assessments and NWEA MAP

o Remain abreast of current curriculum trends, instructional strategies, practices, developments, instructional materials and

related governmental procedures and guidelines.

o Work collaboratively with parents, school, and community committees on all school related matters.

o Assist in the selection of school personnel.

o Coordinate with district personnel, parents and staff planning for an orderly opening of school.

o Plan activities for Staff Development.

o Develop and implement teacher orientations.

o Participate in workshops, in-services, and other administrative staff development activities.

o Plan, coordinate and follow up school academic teams/competitions.

o Implement/oversee T-STEM blueprint implementation.

o Lesson plans, Curriculum/scope and sequence follow up.

o Oversee PBLs and other projects.

o Coordinate academic software programs such as Accelerated Reader (AR), Study Island, Reading Eggs, ALEKS, etc.

o Coordinate school Dual credit, and Advanced Placement programs.

o Meet mentor Dean of Academics regularly (if new to the position)

o Perform other duties as assigned.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

o Ability to communicate effectively in both written and oral forms with all levels of management, both internal and external

to the district.

o Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships both internal and external to the district.

o Ability to organize special programs for assigned campus.

o Ability to use computer including software, database used by the district, spreadsheet and word processing software,

calculator, copy machine and telephone.

o Ability to analyze data

o Ability to use effective interview techniques, effective public speaking skills, and problem-solving skills

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

o Light Work: may require occasional light lifting.

o Nights and weekend activities will be occasionally required.
