Job Summary
Assists teacher with instructing special education students (e.g. math groups, reading, behavioral skills, writing, verbal skills, etc.) for the purpose of implementing academic and behavior goals and ensuring students success.
There are several types of Instructional Assistant: Extensive Support Needs, Special Circumstances, Mild/Moderate, and ELOP Tutor.
Instructional Assistant position is during the school day.
Expanded Learning Opportunities Program (ELOP) Tutor is an after school position.
*It is possible to be employed for an Instructional Assistant position and an ELOP Tutor position as long as both programs select you and the hours do not conflict.
