The Manager in Training (MIT) role is a part-time, hands-on leadership development position designed for individuals who want to grow into Assistant Manager and Studio Manager roles within our organization.


Role Overview

The Manager in Training (MIT) is a developmental leadership role that provides exposure to all aspects of studio operations, team leadership, member experience, and business execution. Working closely with the Studio Manager, you'll learn the systems, standards, and decision-making required to successfully run a Mantra Fitness studio.

This role is ideal for someone seeking long-term growth in fitness, hospitality, or people management - not just a shift-based position.


What You'll Learn & Do


Studio Operations

  • Support daily studio operations including opening/closing procedures, cleanliness, and readiness
  • Learn and use ClubReady for memberships, class scheduling, and reporting
  • Assist with staff scheduling and time tracking using Deputy
  • Support inventory tracking and operational organization

Leadership & Team Support

  • Support and guide front desk staff during shifts
  • Observe and assist with onboarding and training new team members
  • Lead shifts or team huddles when assigned
  • Model professionalism, accountability, and strong communication

Member Experience & Sales

  • Greet and engage members to build strong relationships
  • Assist with new member onboarding and studio orientation
  • Learn lead management and follow-up using LoyalSnap
  • Support sales conversations, trials, and promotions under manager guidance

Instructor & Schedule Support

  • Assist with class schedules and coverage coordination
  • Support instructors with class setup and studio flow
  • Learn how class utilization and performance are managed at the studio level

Leadership Development

  • Complete structured training, shadowing, and operational checklists
  • Participate in regular coaching and feedback conversations
  • Build the skills needed to progress into an Assistant Manager role
