The Studio Manager leads day-to-day operations for 5020 Studios Miami, a flagship facility with four (4) recording studios, an events space, conference rooms, and a media room.

The role oversees facility operations, team leadership, scheduling, vendors, budgeting, studio readiness, events, and client experience. The Studio Manager ensures the facility operates safely, efficiently, and at a world-class standard for artists, producers, label partners, and guests.

This is a hands-on leadership role within a complex, high-volume operation with multiple studios, teams, vendors, sessions, events, and guest needs moving simultaneously.

What you'll do:Building & Facility Operations
  • Own day-to-day operations for the full facility, including studios, events space, conference rooms, media room, lounges, and support areas.
  • Oversee building systems, maintenance, technical infrastructure, safety, security, access, and compliance.
  • Manage building and service vendors, ensuring quality, responsiveness, and value.
  • Maintain exceptional standards of presentation and readiness and resolve issues before they impact sessions or guests.

Team Leadership & Studio Operations

  • Lead, develop, and support the Miami studio team, including engineers, assistants, runners, and client services staff.
  • Own recruiting, onboarding, scheduling, coaching, performance management, and development.
  • Staff four concurrent studios and events appropriately while maintaining standards for room readiness, workflow, communication, and guest experience.
  • Foster a culture of hospitality, discretion, accountability, and technical excellence.

Budget & Financial Management

  • Own the studio operating budget, including vendors, utilities, catering, procurement, repairs, equipment, and supplies.
  • Manage purchasing, vendor relationships, invoices, reconciliations, and financial approvals.
  • Forecast facility and equipment needs and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and control costs.

Sessions, Events & On-Site Execution

  • Ensure the facility is prepared and appropriately staffed for sessions, meetings, events, and guest activity.
  • Oversee operational execution of approved events and activations, including staffing, security, catering, setup, technical needs, and guest flow.

Artist, Label & Client Experience

  • Serve as the primary on-site operational leader for artists, producers, labels, managers, executives, and VIP clients.
  • Ensure studios are properly prepared and supported, anticipating needs and resolving issues quickly, discreetly, and with sound judgment.
  • Maintain the highest standards of hospitality, confidentiality, and professionalism while building trusted relationships with key stakeholders.

Regional & Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Work closely with the Regional Director and corporate partners on operational priorities, standards, initiatives, and improvements.
  • Support broader 5020 and Sony Music initiatives within the Miami facility and provide local operational insight as needed.

  • Experience within a commercial recording studio, production facility, hospitality environment, or similarly complex operation.
  • Experience working with budgets, purchasing, vendors, and cost controls.
  • Strong understanding of professional studio operations and the expectations of artists, producers, and label partners.
  • Experience supporting events, activations, or special programs.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, calm under pressure, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a 24/7 environment.
