Job Summary/Description:

Arizona’s Family (KTVK/KPHO/Arizona’s Family Sports) is hiring a competitive, high-accountability Director of Sales to lead our sales organization across television and digital. This is a high-impact leadership role for someone who owns results, brings bold ideas, builds talent, and knows how to win in-market. Timing note: Our current Director of Sales is retiring. We’re looking to have the successful candidate in place before late November to ensure a smooth transition.

Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

What you bring:
• Total ownership of the sales department revenue, culture, execution, and development
• A competitive mindset: tests, takes smart risks, and pushes for growth
• Constant ideas for packages, positioning, pricing, partnerships, and go-to-market
• A true team builder who recruits, coaches, and grows talent
• Exceptional communication up/down/across the organization; clear expectations and follow-through
• Experience driving results in television and/or digital advertising

Key responsibilities:
• Lead sales strategy and execution to deliver sustained revenue growth across broadcast + digital
• Create and maintain a high-performance sales culture with clear standards and accountability
• Develop Phoenix market expertise and turn it into winning revenue initiatives
• Understand and manage political sales
• Manage and price inventory; forecast revenue; deliver reports as requested by the General Manager
• Build and achieve budgets; provide accurate, timely forecasts
• Strengthen relationships with key clients, agencies, and community partners
• Join the team on face-to-face sales calls weekly
• Coach and develop Account Executives and Sales Managers; recruit and onboard new talent
• Use audience measurement tools to deliver insights and effective client solutions
• Partner across departments to hit company and client goals

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Proven leadership track record driving broadcast and/or digital ad sales growth
• Strong negotiator and closer; builds long-term relationships and repeat business
• Highly organized with attention to detail and strong follow-through
• Experience with WideOrbit, Matrix, and Microsoft Office preferred
• College degree or equivalent experience (5+ years in sales leadership) needed
• Must meet Gray driving requirements and have a valid driver’s license
