Position Introduction:
OU's Institute of Child Development (ICD) Laboratory Preschool is looking for part-time teacher aides.
The responsibilities for this position include:
  • Assisting in the classroom where needed;
  • Engaging in high quality interaction with children and families;
  • Promoting children's learning and development;
  • Supporting the needs of children, families, and other staff at the ICD;
  • Helping to maintain classroom ratio;
  • Assisting in providing a calm and positive learning environment for children, providing office assistance;
  • Aiding with daily school operations (e.g., assisting with food preparation;
  • Giving teachers breaks, setting up classroom learning environments, doing laundry, cleaning, etc.).
  • The hours may vary, but will likely be:
    • Either a morning shift (8:30am - 12:30pm) or an afternoon shift (1:00pm - 5:00pm) Monday through
      Friday.
  • This position will be for the Spring OU academic calendar.
  • Must pass a comprehensive post-offer, pre-employment criminal and fingerprint background check, and a continued successful status will be verified by periodic future background checks.

Required Education and Experience:
  • Must be currently enrolled in the Fall 2026 Term as an undergraduate student in good standing at the University of Oklahoma.
  • Hiring contingent upon verification of current student status.
