Job description

Teaching Assistant/Student Shadow at BHP

Reports to the Principal
Responsibilities:

  1. Assist various special education teachers in the following areas:
    1. Reinforcing skills taught by the classroom teacher.
    2. Taking data on behavioral, communication, socialization, and motivational objectives.
    3. Intervene with students to manage behavior problems when necessary.
  2. Carry our written behavior intervention plans.
  3. Accompany student to various locations on school grounds.


Qualifications:
Two Year Associates Degree  OR
60 Hours of Coursework  OR
ParaPro Assessment Test
Terms of Employment:  185 Days
Full time position with SC State Benefits
