PT - Student Records Specialist

This position will be part time. The primary function will be working the front counter in Admissions and Records. This will involve the intake of student information for the setup and maintenance of the student records in the Colleague system.

Candidates Eligible to Apply - Internal/External

Position Type - Non-Exempt Staff

Employment Status - Part Time

Position Funding Type - Regular

Minimum Education/Training/Experience - Associate degree and experience in an office environment or customer service.

Preferred Education/Training/Experience - Bachelors degree and experience in Admissions and Records Office environment or similar.

Minimum Knowledge & Skills - Business arithmetic; the use of specified computer applications involving the design and management of databases or spreadsheet files and the development of special report formats; complex or technical office practices and procedures; record keeping practices; applicable regulations, policies and statutes.

Preferred Knowledge & Skills - Business arithmetic; the use of specified computer applications involving the design and management of databases or spreadsheet files and the development of special report formats; complex or technical office practices and procedures; record keeping practices; applicable regulations, policies and statutes. Familiar working with Colleague/Ellucian, Excel, and Informer reporting.

Licensing/Certification Requirements - N/A

Job Duties - 1. Performs difficult, complex technical and/or specialized office support work, which require the application of technical skills and a knowledge of detailed or specialized activities related to the area to which assigned. 2. Import and process admissions application. Determine student testing required for admissions. 3. Scanning and inputting testing and transfer information from incoming high school and college transcripts for new and currently enrolled students. 4. Process demographic changes to student records. 5. Run continuing education and credit transcripts. 6. Process transcript evaluations for incoming transfer students. 7. Cover front counter responsibilities as needed. 8. Resolve duplicate student accounts. 9. Process meningitis shot records. 10. Assists in the Student Help Center as needed. 11. Answer phones and emails throughout the day. 12. Other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements - Positions in this class typically require: stooping, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, fingering, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions. Medium Work – Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.

Minimum Salary Range - $16.38/hour

Mid Point Salary Range - $16.38/hour
