Job Summary and Qualifications

Our Radiology and Diagnostic Imaging Department provides a broad range of services to aid in the screening, diagnosis and treatment of medical conditions and emergent injuries. A few responsibilities of our Radiology Technologist (Rad Tech) include: 


You will operate x-ray equipment to make radiographs of designated portions of the body. 


Under the supervision of a Radiologist, your role performs x-ray therapy on patients and explains procedures to patients and addresses their concerns. 


Your role will serve patients in our emergency department, patients in our hospital, and outpatient patients in need of services as well. 


You will perform procedures in accordance with established protocols for patients ages neonate through geriatric. 


Your role will be responsible for maintaining expert technical and patient-care skills and providing quality diagnostic results.  


What qualifications you will need:
  • Completion of an AMA approved Radiology Technology training program with current certification by ARRT.  
  • Must maintain current registry by attending continuing education activities to maintain knowledge and skill level.  
  • BLS through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required. 
  • Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast paced environment. 
  • Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 lbs. 
  • Prefer 2 years recent acute care experience. 

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • (ARRT-R) Radiography
  • Associate Degree
