Salary: USD $56,000 to $84,000

Position summary

The CT/X-Ray Technologist provides high-quality diagnostic imaging services across multiple modalities, including CT, X-ray, Fluoroscopy, C-arm, and OR imaging. This role focuses on accurate image acquisition, patient safety, and excellent patient care while supporting departmental workflows and adhering to regulatory and organizational standards.โ€‹

Key responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic imaging procedures including X-ray, CT, Fluoroscopy, C-arm, and OR imaging according to established protocols.โ€‹

  • Verify exam orders, confirm patient identification, and educate patients on procedures to ensure understanding and comfort.โ€‹

  • Practice radiation safety and shielding in compliance with ALARA standards and departmental policies.โ€‹

  • Prepare, operate, and troubleshoot imaging equipment per manufacturer guidelines and routine quality checks.โ€‹

  • Review patient history, obtain informed consent where applicable, and ensure complete, accurate documentation.

  • Maintain accurate records and imaging data in EHR, PACS, and RIS/HIS systems.โ€‹

  • Assist with cross-training, supply inventory management, and general departmental support duties.

Required qualifications & skills
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program.โ€‹

  • ARRT registration in Radiology (R).

  • Active state radiologic technologist license (as required by state regulations).โ€‹

  • Current BLS certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire).

  • Knowledge of radiation physics, anatomy, positioning, and imaging protocols.โ€‹

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and sound clinical judgment.โ€‹

  • Strong communication, organization, and patient care skills with a focus on service excellence.โ€‹

Preferred qualifications
  • Prior experience as a practicing Radiologic Technologist in CT and general radiography.โ€‹

  • ARRT (CT) certification or eligibility.

  • Cross-training or experience in additional modalities such as CT, MRI, DEXA, or Mammography.โ€‹

  • Experience working with PACS, RIS, and electronic medical records in a hospital or imaging center environment.โ€‹
