San Luis Valley Health is seeking full-time, part-time, and PRN CT/Rad Techs to join our Imaging Team!

What You'll Need:

  • Completion of formal radiological technologist training in an AMA approved training program.
  • ARRT Registered
  • MRI preferred, but not required.
  • Minimum of 6 months experience in the field of Computerized Tomography, with CT certification.
  • Current Basic Life Support certification.


What You'll Do:

  • Following prescribed techniques in performing procedures such as adjusting equipment; determining proper voltage, current and desired time; arranges immobilization and support devices; adjusts lead shielding; and selects proper film.
  • Cleaning x-ray room and equipment daily.
  • Performing call assignments as needed.
  • Performing quality control tasks and maintains quality control reports as required, specific to the procedures performed.
  • Performing general office duties such as scheduling, answering phones, filing, and scheduling of incoming patients, as necessary.
  • Performing diagnostic testing and general maintenance on equipment.
  • Moving equipment into specified position, preparing room, contrast material, and other materials needed to perform procedures as needed.
  • Practices radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation exposure to patient and staff.
