Job description

Overview:

Responsible for the direction, implementation, and evaluation of clinical student programs and clinical education innovations. Oversees the strategic growth and maintenance of student programs in collaboration with academic-service partners. Organizes consultations to high schools, universities and community partners in the development of new student programs.

Responsibilities:
  • Provides on-going project management, follow up analysis, and implementation direction for projects related to regulatory accreditation/ readiness.
  • Monitors and analyzes data, identifies trends and risk-related issues, and reports recommendations.
  • Promotes the principles of performance improvement and implements quality improvement measures for assigned programs.
  • Creates and maintains the required documents and data related to program evaluation and accreditation review.
  • Develops, maintains, and oversees student program integration for assigned disciplines (nursing, pharmacy, phlebotomy, radiology, etc.
  • Collaborates and liaises with strategic student program partners.
  • Serves as contact person for community outreach activities related to research, initiatives, etc.
  • Supports ongoing professional growth for hospital staff in relation to student programs.
  • Uses outcome measurement processes to ensure clinical competency, employee engagement, resident retention, and to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of clinical student programs.
  • Assists in development of resources related to Evidence Based Practice (EBP)
  • Evaluates and creates opportunities as a result of research activities.

Qualifications:Education
  • Bachelors Degree in Nursing Required
  • Masters degree in related field Preferred
Work Experience
  • 5 years of progressively responsible nursing experience in a hospital setting Required
  • Prior experience in nursing development and/or program management Required
Licenses and Certifications
  • RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License Upon Hire Required
