Your Opportunity at SECURE

As a Measurement Intern, you will join SECURE’s Measurement & Quality team and gain hands-on experience supporting measurement compliance, data analysis, and reporting within the energy sector.

This 12–16-month internship is well-suited for a student who enjoys working with data, has strong attention to detail, and is interested in learning how measurement data supports regulatory compliance and operational decision-making. You will have the opportunity to apply your academic knowledge in a professional environment while developing practical technical and analytical skills.

This role is based out of our Brookfield Office in downtown Calgary, Alberta.

You will be part of a collaborative Measurement & Quality team that values accuracy, continuous improvement, and knowledge sharing. Throughout your term, you will work alongside experienced professionals who will provide mentorship and exposure to measurement compliance practices, systems, reporting, and data management.

This is an opportunity to ask questions, build confidence, and gain a stronger understanding of how measurement and compliance contribute to SECURE’s operations.

You'll work in a professional and collaborative environment alongside measurement and compliance professionals, supporting data management, reporting, and regulatory compliance activities. The role involves regular use of measurement systems, reporting tools, and spreadsheets to analyze information, identify discrepancies, and maintain accurate records. This opportunity provides hands-on experience working with operational and compliance data while developing technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills within a fast-paced and detail-oriented environment.

  • Analyze and interpret reports generated through measurement and compliance software platforms.
  • Support measurement compliance data management, analysis, and reporting activities.
  • Work with the IMEC Core software platform to support data capture and measurement reporting.
  • Assist with compiling, reviewing, and organizing compliance documentation and records.
  • Support the identification and follow-up of data discrepancies or reporting requirements.
  • Contribute to ongoing projects and initiatives related to measurement compliance and reporting.
  • Build, review, and analyze spreadsheets to help organize information and identify trends or inconsistencies.
  • Collaborate with members of the Measurement & Quality team and other stakeholders as required.
  • Provide administrative and technical support to the team while gaining exposure to broader measurement and compliance activities.

  • Current enrollment in a post-secondary undergraduate program such as Engineering, Instrumentation, Finance, Business, or another relevant technical or analytical discipline.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with spreadsheets, including the ability to build, review, and analyze data.
  • Critical-thinking and problem-solving skills with an interest in understanding how and why data is used.
  • Comfort learning new software, systems, and processes.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • A professional approach and willingness to contribute to team priorities.
  • An interest in developing knowledge of measurement, compliance, instrumentation, or the energy sector.

Application Deadline

Please submit your application by September 25, 2026. Only applicants submitted through SECURE’s career site will be acknowledged. Late submissions will not be accepted.
