Job description

Job Title: Northview Students Central Worship Director
Category: Central Staff

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
The Northview Students Central Worship Director's primary responsibility is to be the central visionary leader of worship for Northview Students. This position will have supervisory responsibility over the Student Worship Coordinator at the Carmel Campus, and will be responsible for developing student worship leaders, technically and spiritually, through the Northview School of Worship. In addition, this position will spearhead worship at Northview Student's largest events throughout the year. This position has a solid line report to the Family Ministry Pastor and dotted-line report to the Lead Worship Pastor.
MIT's (Most Important Tasks)
1. Be the primary owner of the Northview School of Worship
2. Lead and develop the Student Worship Coordinator at the Carmel Campus
3. Maintain a strong connection to Northview Worship, and lead within Northview's over-arching vision for worship
4. Own Worship at Northview Students' largest yearly events (i.e. Ice Camp, Worship Night, etc.)
5. Be the primary visionary and owner of the Northview Students Worship culture and provide the support necessary for worship to thrive at all campuses
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
  • Recruit great teachers to develop students in their practical skills and heart posture
  • Promote and recruit participants for the School of Worship.
  • Ensure strong communication between the School of Worship and teachers, participants, and parents
  • Create a clear pipeline from the School of Worship to participating in leading worship in weekend services. Ensure pipeline sets both the participant and the ministry up for success
  • Lead worship 2/3 times per month at different campuses of NVS Sunday Night programming
  • Create and maintain a strong connection to Northview Worship.
  • Oversee and develop the Northview Students Worship Coordinator at the Carmel Campus
  • Lead and oversee the spiritual health and well-being of the worship teams
  • Help lead worship at Carmel Campus weekend services as needed
  • Maintain and advance stage design and equipment in cooperation with the Multisite Production Technicians
  • Attend all chapels, monthly staff Huddles, NV Students Best Practice staff meetings, NV Students Pod meetings when applicable, and Northview Worship staff meetings, to develop and maintain a strong connection with Northview Worship
  • Plan and lead worship at Ice Camp, including the Student Worship Coordinator in the process
  • Plan and lead the annual NVS All-Campus Worship Night, including the Student Worship Coordinator in the process
  • Plan and prepare worship and programming budget
  • Manage and develop students of the Northview School of Leadership and Ministry, whose ministry focus area is Northview Students Worship.
  • Develop and protect a culture of worship that is aligned with scripture and the five core values of Northview Students; One Encounter with Jesus Can Change Your Life Forever, Community is King, Circles are Better than Rows, Servant Leaders Change the World, When Families Win, We Win
  • Perform related duties as assigned by manager

SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES
This position works with volunteers and must have an understanding that volunteers are key to the ministry of the church. The employee must have a heart to recruit, train, equip and support volunteers in fulfilling their roles.
