Job description
- Provide oversight and coordination of worship leadership ensembles housed within the Department of Music, including oversight of all performance/ministry calendars, rehearsal schedules, class times, and logistical needs.
- Work with local/regional pastors, worship ministry leaders, educators, camp directors, etc. to ensure opportunities for quality worship leadership by way of Bethel University students.
- Provide coordination with Music Department Chair regarding music audition opportunities and requirements.
- Serve as Chapel Liaison, providing oversight of music-department-based ministry ensembles, as they pertain to worship leadership in BU chapel events.
- Support songwriting and recording efforts, as related to the Worship Arts program, including integration with Nashville-based components of the program (songwriting, recording, study abroad programs, etc.)
- Provide increasing excellence, seeking to maximize student enrollment, off-campus exposure, and broader marketing/promotion efforts.
- Teaching duties not to exceed 9 load hours annually.
- Minimum of three years of experience in full-time worship ministry leadership
- Master's degree pertaining to the field of Worship Arts/Music (preferred)
- Teaching experience in Christian higher education (preferred)
- Able to work independently, organized, detail-oriented, cheerful, flexible, and willing to follow instructions, both verbal and written.
- Physical capability to lift equipment up to 30lbs and push heavy equipment on castors (less than 200lb).
- Take pride in representing Bethel University at relevant recruitment events as well as on/off-campus performances
- Attend faculty meetings for Department of Music.
- Communicate regularly with the Department of Music regarding student worship ministry leadership and/or performances
