About the Role
As a Certified Veterinary Technician, you'll play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and client service. You will work closely with veterinarians and team members to provide comprehensive medical support, client education, nursing care, and surgical assistance.
We're looking for someone who is confident, compassionate, team-oriented, and eager to contribute to a positive hospital culture.
What You'll Do
  • Partner with veterinarians to deliver high-quality patient care and advocate for pets' health and well-being.
  • Educate clients on treatment plans, preventative care, medications, and doctor recommendations.
  • Obtain patient histories and maintain accurate medical records.
  • Perform laboratory procedures and diagnostic testing.
  • Assist with dentistry procedures and dental patient care.
  • Support surgical procedures and anesthesia monitoring in accordance with Oregon regulations and credentialed technician responsibilities.
  • Help maintain efficient patient flow throughout the hospital.
  • Utilize safe animal restraint techniques and low-stress handling practices.
  • Ensure treatment areas, exam rooms, and laboratory spaces remain clean, organized, and compliant.
  • Guide, mentor, and support fellow team members while contributing to a collaborative workplace culture.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
  • Current Oregon Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) license
  • Minimum of 2 years of veterinary technician experience
  • Strong communication and client education skills
  • Ability to explain treatment plans and doctor recommendations clearly and compassionately
  • Commitment to teamwork, professionalism, and patient advocacy
Preferred Qualifications
  • Dental proficiency and experience with dental radiology
  • Surgical and anesthesia monitoring experience
  • Leadership or mentoring experience
