Job Summary/Basic Function
Assist library patrons with checking materials in and out at the Public Services desk. Shelve library materials. Assist library patrons with basic computer, directional and library resource questions. Assist users in finding materials on the shelf. Refer in-depth questions to research librarian. Maintain the collaborative lab area e.g. cleaning computers, filling printers with paper, and shelving materials. Maintain the Reading Room - clearing tables and pushing in chairs. Maintain the Public Services area e.g. cleaning desk, phones, and monitors. Occasionally work on special library projects, as required.
Minimum Qualifications
Type at least 30 words per minute; enjoy working with people.
Enrolled in at least 6 credit hours
Preferred Qualifications
Federal Work Study eligible
Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
