Job Title: Enrollment Specialist
Reports To: Vice President of Student Affairs
Department: Student Affairs
Classification: Full-time, Salary Exempt,12-month, Benefits Eligible
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Enrollment Specialist plays a vital role in the recruitment, admission, and enrollment of students at LeMoyne-Owen College. This in-person position involves direct interaction with prospective students, families, high school counselors, and community partners to support student enrollment goals.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES
  • Serve as a primary contact for prospective students, providing information on admissions, academic programs, and financial aid
  • Assist applicants through the enrollment process, including application completion, documentation collection, and follow-up
  • Coordinate and participate in on- and off-campus recruitment events, including high school visits, college fairs, and community outreach
  • Support orientation and registration activities to ensure a smooth transition for new students
  • Collaborate with departments such as Financial Aid, Registrar, and Academic Advising to provide comprehensive support to students
  • Maintain accurate student records and update information in the student information system
  • Remains abreast of the scholarship and financial aid opportunities available to incoming students
  • Adheres to university recruiting and admission guidelines and standards and adheres to provisions set forth in the National Association of College Admission Counseling Standards and Principles of Good Practice
  • Organizes recruitment activities including open houses, transfer fairs, welcome-back activities, classroom presentations, and faculty/advisor meetings. Plans and executes joint events between community partners as necessary for optimal relationship management
  • Identifies and shares information regarding trends and issues affecting relationships with partners, including alumni
  • Secures new requests for program offerings provided by administrators, faculty, and students at community college partners
  • Meets with college access partners and provides them with ongoing updates on academic programs and co-curricular opportunities
  • Collaborates with access partners and educators to track students through the application and enrollment process, including, as needed, updates on applicant status and guidance regarding housing, financial aid, and new student orientation
  • Interfaces directly with transfer students to assist them with the enrollment process, including admissions, financial aid, registration, housing, and new student orientation.
  • Other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree required; experience in admissions, higher education, or student services preferred
  • Proficiency with student information systems such as Colleague is a plus
  • Experience using customer relationship management tools, especially AdmissionPros CRM, is highly desirable
  • Must be available to work evenings and weekends in alignment with the recruitment calendar and event schedule, which is normally September through March
  • Must be able to travel as needed for recruitment events; travel may include overnight stays

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, use hands to handle, or feel to talk and to hear. The employee, frequently, is required to walk, reach with hands and arms to stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
