The opportunity

Southern New Hampshire University's traditional campus is seeking an IDEA Lab Assistant for the School of Engineering, Technology and Aeronautics (SETA). The IDEA Lab Assistant will be responsible for working with students on their projects. The IDEA Lab Assistant will ensure that students adhere to all safety protocols and support student projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee IDEA Lab safety

  • Teach machine fundamentals as required

  • Oversee other project team work

  • One IDEA Lab Assistant per machine per team

  • Ensure that student groups cleanup machining areas and put all tools away

  • Report broken tooling

  • Report all injuries

  • Attend monthly meetings

  • Other duties as assigned by the lab coordinator


Minimum Requirements:

  • Current enrollment in classes as part of a SNHU degree program

  • Work study part of financial aid package

Compensation

The hourly pay range for this position is $13.00 - $15.00. Actual offer will be based on skills, qualifications, experience and internal equity, in addition to relevant business considerations.
