We are seeking a motivated engineering student to work alongside our experienced engineers in the development, assembly, integration, and testing of mission hardware. Student engineers are integral members of the development team and contribute to a broad range of engineering activities, including hardware development, laboratory testing, system integration, test automation, technical trade studies, and project reviews. The position will also provide opportunities to support Linux-based embedded systems and hardware/software integration, including working with embedded processors, device interfaces, networking, and peripheral hardware. Students may support project deliveries and integration activities, with the potential to transition to full-time employment upon graduation based on performance, funding, and program needs.
The selected candidate will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary electronics teams both within SDL and with external partners. The selected candidate will be expected to take ownership of assigned tasks, apply sound engineering and troubleshooting practices, communicate technical results effectively, and work closely with an engineering mentor to develop and implement solutions. Assignments will provide hands-on exposure to both electronic hardware and embedded software, allowing the student to develop practical engineering skills while contributing directly to mission-focused projects.
The Civil & Commercial Space Division is at the forefront of scientific research and space exploration. We equip major Government and commercial missions with calibrated state-of-the-art sensors and satellites. We also provide world-class AI&T technologies and mission management.
