Job description

Student Services Coordinator

The Student Services Coordinator will work under the direction of the Building Principal to contribute to the daily operation of the school. The coordinator will support the staff to ensure the learning and advancement of all students.

Principal duties and responsibilities include overseeing 504 Plans, behavior plans, serving as the local education agency representative for special education meetings, completing investigations related to bullying, harassment, and other behavioral or disciplinary issues, managing student discipline and/or behavioral issues, overseeing the professional development plans for paraprofessionals, maintaining regular communication between the school and the home, school resource officer, truant officer/FIT coordinator, DCYF, and any other related service providers, implementing safety procedures and protocols to meet local and state guidelines, and any other duties as assigned by the Building Principal, or as needed, to ensure the safe operation of the elementary school.

Certification and licensure: New Hampshire Teacher Certification required; New Hampshire Administrative Certification preferred. Knowledge of educational law. Ability to effectively communicate with families and other related agencies. Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others. Computer proficiency. Determine appropriate action within clearly defined guidelines. Meet schedules and timelines. Work independently with little direction. Physical demands of the job include sitting, some standing, often walking, bending, stooping, and lifting up to 50 lbs. It is anticipated that stress will be associated with this position primarily due to the demands of this position. It is necessary that the individual have the capacity to remain calm, considerate, and tactful under stressful and unanticipated situations. Individual must exercise a high level of confidentiality in handling staff and student information.
