Job description

Job Description
For academic year 2025-26, teaching assistants will be expected to support and enhance the student experience in chemistry labs or lectures, by providing instructional and administrative support to faculty and students in their assigned classes. Expected duties may include assisting faculty with the safe preparation of laboratory materials, collecting data on instrumentation, running independent help sessions, correcting (but not assigning grades to) student work, and facilitation of class discussion. Laboratory assistants will ensure all students are following the proper safety protocols, and will ensure the labs are clean and well-maintained. Teaching assistants will be expected to be proactive in their engagement with students in the classes/labs and should work closely with the faculty member to ensure the course goals are being met.
Pay Rate: $15.50/hour
