Job description

Bridge Cable is a growing low-voltage and network-cabling contractor serving commercial and industrial clients throughout Eastern Pennsylvania and New Jersey. We install and service structured cabling systems, fiber optics, access control, and related infrastructure for property managers, contractors, and multi-site clients.

We are building a stable field team and need a strong field leader to run daily production — not a coordinator, but a hands-on manager who can control job flow, crews, and job completion.

Position Summary

We are hiring a Operations Manager Low Voltage / Structured Cabling to oversee technicians and job execution in the field.

This position is responsible for making sure jobs start correctly, crews perform efficiently, and installs meet company standards. The role is primarily field-based and requires daily interaction with technicians, customers, and project coordinators.

This role is not a desk scheduling position.

You will be the person the technicians report to and the person accountable for job completion.

What You Will Do

  • Manage daily activities of low-voltage technicians and subcontractors
  • Review job readiness before crews are dispatched
  • Visit jobsites regularly to inspect work quality and production pace
  • Set installation standards and enforce them
  • Identify problems early and correct them before they affect customers
  • Coordinate with office staff regarding scheduling and materials
  • Verify jobs are completed and ready for billing
  • Coach and train technicians on proper installation methods
  • Hold team members accountable for attendance, productivity, and workmanship
  • Communicate directly with GCs, site contacts, and customers when needed

You will not be expected to sit in the office scheduling all day — your main responsibility is production in the field.

What Success Looks Like

Within the first 90 days you will:

  • Learn our install standards and customers
  • Ride along with crews and evaluate performance
  • Implement a job readiness checklist
  • Reduce call-backs and incomplete jobs
  • Establish authority and trust with the field team

Required Experience:

We are looking for someone who has already led crews — not someone trying management for the first time.

Required:

  • 5+ years in structured cabling, electrical, telecom, or similar construction trade
  • Experience supervising technicians or installers
  • Ability to read basic plans and scopes of work
  • Comfortable correcting employees and enforcing standards
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Structured cabling
  • Fiber
  • Access control
  • CCTV
  • Managing minimum of 8 technicians
  • Managing subcontractors
  • Overseeing 10-20 projects at a time
  • Reading blueprints and SOWs
  • Service Trade or similar platforms

Strongly Preferred:

  • Former foreman, lead technician, or service manager
  • Experience with fiber, Cat6, Access Control and commercial installs
  • Experience working with general contractors or property managers

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary: $80,000 – $95,000 (depending on experience)
  • Performance bonus tied to production and job completion *after passing 90 days
  • Company vehicle or vehicle allowance *after passing 90 days
  • Gas card *after passing 90 days
  • Company phone / laptop
  • Paid time off and holidays *after passing 90 days
  • Opportunity to grow into senior leadership role as the company expands

Who This Role Is For

This role is a good fit for someone who:

  • Currently runs crews but wants more stability
  • Is frustrated by disorganized companies
  • Wants authority to fix problems instead of just reporting them
  • Takes pride in clean, correct installations

This role is not a fit for a pure office operations manager or project administrator.

Primarily field based (Eastern PA / South NJ region) Office is Willow Grove, PA

Typical hours: Monday–Friday 8am – 4:30pm with occasional early jobsite starts

Benefits:

  • Health insurance
  • Paid time off
  • Vision insurance
