The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with managed WiFi networks, fiber infrastructure, low-voltage systems, network design, and sales engineering processes. This individual should be comfortable supporting both technical discovery and deal progression, helping translate customer requirements into accurate scopes, quotes, and solutions.

Sales Engineering Support

  • Partner with sales representatives throughout the sales cycle to provide technical guidance and solution expertise.
  • Assist in customer discovery calls to understand property needs, existing infrastructure, pain points, and project requirements.
  • Help position managed WiFi, network infrastructure, fiber, and low-voltage solutions in a way that aligns with customer goals.
  • Support sales efforts by answering technical questions, addressing objections, and helping move opportunities toward close.
  • Participate in customer-facing meetings, presentations, site walks, and technical reviews as needed.

Quoting and Proposal Support

  • Assist in the creation of accurate quotes, scopes of work, and proposal documentation.
  • Review drawings, floor plans, property information, and infrastructure details to support pricing and design assumptions.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and vendor partners to gather equipment costs, labor estimates, and technical requirements.
  • Help identify potential gaps, risks, exclusions, and assumptions that should be included in proposals.
  • Ensure quotes align with the intended design, customer requirements, and operational delivery capabilities.

Engineering Design

  • Create or support managed WiFi and network infrastructure designs for new construction, retrofit, and existing property environments.
  • Assist with access point placement, IDF/MDF requirements, cabling pathways, switch requirements, fiber design, and overall network architecture.
  • Provide technical input on low-voltage design, structured cabling, fiber distribution, network equipment, and related infrastructure.
  • Review existing property infrastructure and recommend upgrades or changes needed to support managed WiFi and smart building technologies.
  • Work with operations and implementation teams to ensure designs are practical, deployable, and aligned with field standards.

Technical Expertise

  • Maintain a strong understanding of managed WiFi solutions, including network architecture, access points, switching, routing, VLANs, authentication models, resident connectivity, and property-wide network management.
  • Apply knowledge of fiber infrastructure, structured cabling, low-voltage systems, and telecom design principles.
  • Understand the interaction between managed WiFi and other property technologies such as smart locks, access control, cameras, intercoms, thermostats, IoT devices, and life-safety communication systems.
  • Stay current on industry trends, vendor platforms, hardware standards, and emerging technologies that impact managed WiFi and smart building infrastructure.

Internal Collaboration

  • Work closely with sales, project management, operations, network engineering, product, and finance teams.
  • Help ensure clean handoff from sales to implementation by documenting design intent, assumptions, exclusions, and customer expectations.
  • Provide feedback to internal teams on common customer needs, competitive trends, product gaps, and process improvements.
  • Support miscellaneous sales engineering activities, including technical documentation, vendor coordination, internal training, and deal strategy.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience in managed WiFi, networking, telecom, low-voltage, or related technical sales engineering role.
  • Strong understanding of WiFi design principles, network infrastructure, structured cabling, fiber, switching, and low-voltage systems.

  • Experience assisting with quotes, scopes of work, technical proposals, or sales documentation.
  • Comfortable participating in customer-facing calls, technical discussions, and sales presentations.
  • Ability to translate technical requirements into clear business and operational recommendations.
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with sales, engineering, operations, vendors, and customers.

Preferred Qualifications
