Position Overview:

We are seeking a talented and motivated Structural Engineer Intern to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about designing and analyzing structures, committed to continuous learning, and eager to contribute to exciting projects that make a real impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, analyze, and review structural components and systems for various projects.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and construction professionals to develop innovative solutions.
  • Additional responsibilities include calculation development, steel shop drawing reviews, submittal preparation, and responding to RFIs.
  • Utilize analysis software programs such as Tekla Structural Designer, Excel, Idea Statica, BlueBeam, RISA Suite, Revit and Ram Connection.
  • Review 3-D BIM models to aid in building design, connection design and shop drawing reviews.

Qualifications:

  • Actively enrolled in an accredited civil or structural engineering program.
  • A basic understanding of relevant building codes, materials, and standards.
  • Enthusiasm and desire to succeed and develop technical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills are required, both verbal and written.
  • Software skills with any of the following are a plus: Tekla Structural Designer, Excel, Idea Statica, BlueBeam, RISA Suite, Revit and Ram Connection.
  • Attention to detail, logical problem-solving skills, and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Passion for steel and concrete design and growing professional knowledge and skills in steel and concrete construction.
