Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead cross-functional teams in the successful execution of capital equipment projects from order through installation and commissioning. This role is responsible for managing scope, budget, schedule, and risk, ensuring on-time delivery and customer satisfaction for complex, custom-engineered equipment and system installations.


  • Manage the full project lifecycle for capital equipment orders, including design, manufacturing, shipping, installation, and commissioning.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal teams and customers throughout the project.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets; monitor progress and take corrective action as needed.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, including engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, field service, and quality.
  • Lead project kickoff meetings, design reviews, and regular status updates with stakeholders.
  • Identify and manage project risks and develop mitigation plans.
  • Ensure all customer requirements and contractual obligations are met.
  • Maintain detailed project documentation and reporting using project management tools.
  • Support project financial performance through cost tracking, change management, and invoicing milestones.
  • Drive continuous improvement in project execution processes and tools.
  • Fully support the Company's ISO objectives, policies, procedures, and the GK WAY program.
  • Utilize analytical skills and experience to make independent decisions.
  • Foster cooperation and collaboration among team members.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related technical field (MBA or PMP certification is a plus).
  • 5 -10+ years of experience managing complex industrial projects, preferably in capital equipment, machinery, or heavy manufacturing industries.
  • Strong technical acumen with the ability to understand mechanical design, manufacturing processes, and installation challenges.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple concurrent projects.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Working knowledge of CAD (Autodesk products) is preferred.
  • Proficiency in project management software (MS Project, Smartsheet, or equivalent) and ERP systems.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for customer meetings, site visits, and equipment commissioning
  • Experience with Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing is preferred.
  • Solid "Value Focused" customer service skills.
  • Demonstrate objectivity, professionalism, integrity, and honesty in dealing with people at all levels and facilitates an environment for open and honest discussion.

Pay/Benefits:

Pay: $100,000 to $125,000 paid annually. The range provided is a guideline and not a guarantee of compensation. Other factors that are involved in offer decisions include, and are not limited to a candidate's experience, qualifications, geography, and internal equity.
