The Structural Engineer II is responsible for performing complex structural engineering tasks for modular deployments in mission-critical electrical infrastructure projects, including structural steel enclosures, skidded solutions, and data center modules for Faith/Excellerate/Entech products. This role also leads concept design for prototypes and first-of-a-kind builds, while ensuring the safety, cost-effectiveness, and durability of these projects under the direct supervision of the Engineering Team Leader, Manager, or Director. The ideal candidate must have the ability to apply principles or mechanics, mathematics, physics, material science, 3D concepts to creative problem-solving.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education: Bachelors or Masters in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering with Structural Emphasis

Experience:4 plus years of experience

Travel: 0-25%

Work Schedule:Typical work hours are between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday - Friday.

However, work may be performed at any time on any day of the week to meet business needs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provides guidance to Level 1 Engineers and Designers.
  • Performs detailed calculations to compute and establish construction standards and specifications.
  • Prepares and studies technical drawings/specifications to ensure that designs/installations conform to standards & customer requirements.
  • Plans layout of construction projects.
  • Conducts field surveys and studies diagram and other data to identify and correct structural problems.
  • Confers with internal and external customers to discuss existing or potential construction projects.
  • Provides guidance to ensure that construction activities comply with specifications, codes, and customer requirements.
  • Inspects completed installations to ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications.
  • Compiles data and writes reports regarding existing and potential engineering studies and projects.
  • Operates computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks.
  • Assist in QA and QC of fabrication.
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
