Structural Engineer


ASR International Corporation Location: Puget Sound – Bremerton Area, WA Employment Type: Full-Time


Position Summary

ASR International Corporation is seeking a Structural Engineer to provide Design Technical Support services for NAVFAC Northwest. The Structural Engineer will perform structural analysis, design reviews, and technical support for building and waterfront structures on Design-Bid-Build and Design-Build projects.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform structural analysis and design of vertical and lateral force-resisting systems, retaining structures, utility structures, and waterfront structures (piers, wharves, etc.).

  • Review designs, calculations, RFIs, submittals, and design changes for compliance with DoD UFC, IBC, ASCE 7, and project requirements.

  • Apply innovative technical principles to resolve structural design issues.

  • Coordinate with multi-discipline teams, government clients, and stakeholders.

  • Prepare technical reports, recommendations, and meeting documentation.

  • Support weekly and monthly status reporting.


Minimum Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizenship required (Green Card holders are not eligible to apply).

  • Must be able to pass a T1 security background check.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a structural focus from an accredited program.

  • Minimum of six (6) years of design management and/or design experience.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of structural design using concrete, steel, and masonry.

  • Proficiency with AutoCAD and/or Revit and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Strong technical writing and communication skills.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in Structural or Civil Engineering.

  • Experience with NAVFAC, waterfront structures, or DoD facilities projects.
