Beacon Kalamazoo provides 24/7 emergency care and a Level II Trauma Center. We deliver care for serious life-threatening injuries/illnesses, and your everyday health needs, including labor and delivery. We offer specialty care for heart & vascular disease, stroke, lung and sleep disorders, mental health conditions, and women’s health. We offer a wide range of outpatient services, including diagnostic imaging, lab tests, respiratorytherapyand rehabilitation therapy services.

What You’ll Do

As the Director of Heart, Vascular, Stroke & Interventional Radiology Services, you will serve as the operational leader for one of Beacon Health System’s largest service lines. In this role, you will provide strategic leadership across the service line in noninvasive, invasive interventional, surgical, and rehabilitation services. The leader will ensure operational excellence through professional work environment, quality patient outcomes, physician collaboration, financial stewardship, and service line growth.

You will lead strategic planning, performance improvement, leadership structure development, and operational alignment to ensure delivery of high-quality, cost-effective care aligned with Beacon Health System’s mission and goals.

Director of Heart, Vascular, Stroke, & Interventional Radiology Services Responsibilities

Strategic & Operational Leadership · Provide strategic and operational leadership for Beacon Kalamazoo consistent with the Heart,

Vascular & Stroke Service Line strategies across Beacon Health System. · Develop and implement strategic and operational plans addressing quality, financial performance, physician engagement, market growth, and operational effectiveness. · Lead service line structure, alignment, and interdisciplinary collaboration across cardiovascular and procedural services. · Ensure alignment of service line initiatives with Beacon Health System goals and strategic priorities.

Quality, Financial & Performance Management · Direct quality initiatives and evaluate service line performance outcomes. · Drive continuous quality improvement aligned with organizational standards. · Achieve financial, operational, and market share targets in alignment with strategic goals. · Explore innovative care models to improve quality, access, and cost effectiveness. · Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.

Physician & Team Collaboration · Foster physician integration and collaboration in planning, operations, and budgeting. · Build strong relationships across all levels of the organization. · Promote a culture of accountability, trust, and teamwork. · Support leadership development and performance improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications · Bachelor’s Degree in Hospital Administration, Nursing, Radiologic Technology, or related field required · Master’s Degree in a related discipline preferred · Minimum of two years of healthcare administrative leadership experience required in

cardiovascular, stroke, or interventional radiology procedural departments · Demonstrated experience working with physicians, including program development and partnerships required · Strong knowledge of healthcare operations, reimbursement, quality improvement, and strategic planning

Preferred Qualifications · Leadership experience in cardiovascular, interventional radiology, cardiac, vascular, or cardiothoracic service lines strongly preferred · Minimum of two years of service line management experience preferred · Minimum of three years of administrative leadership experience preferred · Experience leading large, complex healthcare service lines with operational, financial, and quality accountability preferred

Organizational Responsibilities · Attends and participates in department and organizational meetings · Completes mandatory education, competencies, and health requirements · Maintains required licensure/certification and compliance standards · Follows organizational policies and regulatory requirements · Supports operational needs including additional hours or shifts as required
